THe park is open 24/7 365 days a year if weather permits. The visitor center is open daily 8:00 a.m.- 4:30p.m.

Climate:
The temperatures can average over 100 degrees f. and at night it can get as low as 30 degrees f. in the summer. In Fall and Winter the temperatures can average from 10-15 degrees f. In the Spring time the temperature can average from 18-89 degrees f. And the average rain fall is 0.44in.-8in.


History:
The park became a National Park in 1890. United States Secretary Harold Ickes helped it become a national park. There are some of the oldest trees there. 1806 was when the first Europeans entered the area. The first Native Americans to live in the park were a part of the Paiute Nation. Americans started to come here in the 1800s.

Facts:
Some of the trees there are over hundred years old. It was made into a national park on March 4, 1890. And it's one of the oldest parks in America.


Things to See

You will probably see Giant trees all around the Park.There are beautiful mountains there to. And you could look waterfalls when your there. These are just a few of the things you can see there.



Things to Do

One thing you may want to do is horseback riding. Another thing you can do when your there is Skiing. And the last thing you may want to look at are some some of the caves they have there.
