Mount Rainier is a icon in the sky. A lifetime of discovery awaits there.It has a beautiful view.

Location,size,and distance


My park is located in Buckley,Washington. The parks size is 370 square miles. To get there from here a car it would take you 27 hrs and 54 minutes. To get there would take 1839.44 miles.

Park hours


The park is open all year long.The visitor center is open from 10:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m.

In the winter the temperature would be in the 30's,40's,and maybe the 50's.The precipitation in the winter is about 20 inches thats a lot.In the summer the temperature is in the high 60's and 70's.Fall and spring are the same as summer.

It became a national park in March 2 1899.A British explorer named the park for his friend.An important part of history for the park is that the U.S. naval squadron used it as a land mark.

The man that named the park was the first European to sail into the Puget Sound.Feeding animals in the park is prohibited you will probably get a 100 dollar fine.In the early 1930's the Civilian Conservation Corp put fire lookouts in the park.

Things to see


A reptile you might see is the Red-legged frog.Mammals you might see are the the red fox,black bear,bobcat,black-talied deer,and the mountain beaver.A tree is the vine maple.

You can go hiking. Also camping. And biking and fishing.
